Evaluation of garment
I am quite proud of my final garment as it looks like what I designed. All the sections of the skirt consist of deconstructed garments such as jackets, skirts, cardigans etc. and are sewn by hand to each other. I think it keeps to the brief of deconstruct reconstruct, however if I could change one thing it would be my concept. I wish I had selected a more colourful concept, rather than Gothic, as I think if I did the same thing but each section was a different bright colour or textile pattern the garment would have much more depth to it and make it more interesting to look at.
Evaluation of photoshoot
The location of the shoot I think was very obvious. Many Gothic themed pieces are photographed in a cemetery so it was not very ambitious of me so next time I do a photoshoot I need to research the location more, possibly get ideas down on a mind map as it helps expand initial ideas. Despite that, I really like the photographs I took. They reflect my concept and look gloomy and mysterious. I edited some images into black and white for a enhanced mysterious feel.
